Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

A dentist assistant has many duties to preform and here are some things they might do,

• seat patients in the treatment area
• exposing and developing x-rays
• taking impressions of teeth for study
• polishing clinical crowns
• providing assistance in the office with tasks such as appointment scheduling, record keeping, telephone management, and billing

Those are just some jobs a dental assistant has.

Salary:

$34,500 annually

Education:

High school students interested in a career as a dental assistant should take courses in biology, chemistry, and anatomy. Some states require assistants to graduate from an accredited program and pass a state exam. Most programs are offered by community colleges, take about 1 year to complete, and lead to a certificate or diploma. Programs that last 2 years, also offered in community colleges, are less common and lead to an associate’s degree.

Reflection:  

To me this job would be a job I wouldn’t want to have because to me this is like a simple job and that’s what I don’t want I would rather be the doctor than the assistant. So this would be a job I wouldn’t  like to have.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

A dentist is responsible for many things and has many duties to do. One example of what a dentist does is they carry out agreed clinical treatments such as restoring teeth affected by decay and treating gum disease.  Another example in what a dentist does is they examine teeth and diagnose patients' dental conditions by using tools such as x-rays.

Salary:

$149,310 USD annually

Education:

Before applying to dental school, you'll first need to complete an accredited, 4-year bachelor's degree program. The curriculum generally includes both general education and major coursework. Once you make the decision to become a dentist, you can major in a science-related field to meet the coursework requirements for admittance to an approved dental school.

 

Reflection:

To me I would like to work to be a dentist but those who work in the braces dentist. I would like to be a dentist because I would like to learn more about how the teeth grow or how they move you know. So yea I would like to become a dentist.
