What Dr. Norman is trying to say is that Enthusiasm makes the difference on no matter what whether it be in a sport or even in school you need to have enthusiasm to make a difference.

Like in a sport when you have a big game, you need to have enthusiasm to play good and not to make mistakes because if you don't have enthusiasm then you will not feel like playing, you'll play bad, and you will loose the match. Also in school you need to have enthusiasm to do good in all your classes, you can't just like one class and not like another one. You need to have enthusiasm to like that class and get good grades on all of your classes no matter what. So if you want to do something right, something that will turn out as an success then you must have enthusiasm or you will make it no where.
