Class Evaluation

1. Somethings that i like about this was the fact that we used computers, and how you had us interact with the internet by creating this blog. 

        2. Somethings i didn't like was the surprise CTR cards check. They were really out of random.

        3. Some recommendations would be to give time in advance for us to get are ctr cards ready. Other than that it was a pretty cool class.

        4. One of the highlight of this class was the Choose the Right song, it was pretty catchy.:)

        5. I tried doing my best in this class because i really wanted to pass with an A in here. Last year this class threw me off, i got a B and it threw my A streak. 

        6. To be honest i don't do it daily.:( Most of the time is because i am to busy doing work for another teacher, or i am just busy. I really try to read it for five minutes daily. 

        7. Yes i am being committed in being a ctr person for life. Being a ctr person is going to take you very far, and in life i want to go very far. 

        8. What i learn was to always choose the right and never give, and to not pick up the rattle snake. I am really going to pass this information on because it shows how i am committed in being a ctr person. and i think it will also help my friend/ peers. 

        9. What i will always remember is how you always said " Come on young people you always gotta choose the right", And also " Choose the right young people. You're dismissed". It just reminded me everyday to choose the right, and to put others as my priority.

This quote is so true because not only does it mean you are going to reach very far, but with CTR you'll go beyond the maximum point.  And you will be on top just like Steph Curry. And this quote is so empowering because it's telling me that if you choose the right for the rest of your life you'll be on top, and you will  grow like a tall pomp tree. This choose in the right not only means far but it's a result you have when you always choose the right. And it's always best to be part of the CTR club than the CTW. An example of CTW is when a person drinks, smokes, does drugs, cheats. It is a very cruel thing to do to somebody. An example of someone choosing the right is helping others, caring,kind, respectful,and loyal. There is many more but it's just to name a few. An another example of how choosing the right is going to take you far is, Mr.Haymore. How Mr.Haymore, has a nice family, has a wife, kids, a career he enjoys. This just shows how choosing the right is going to take you very far. Mr.Haymore you are a excellent example for this quote.

What i understand about this quote is that the best decision we will ever make in our life is choosing the right. And this choice will always be the best, and we will live with gratitude, and not hate towards people. This choice is the Ultimate choice we ever had. This choice will make us the best person in the world. And by far we already have an advantage because we were exposed to ctr this whole school year. And it's best to start off little so it becomes a habit. And i am very grate full to being exposed as of my freshmen year. This choosing the right is are keystone that holds us in place. And when we remove it, we will all just fall out of place, and we don't want that. This choose will be one big remark in my life as a choice i ever made. And i am very thankful.

Beautiful Character

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: if there is a beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.

Chinese Proverb

This quote is really powerful because it's saying when there is beauty in character there will be harmony wherever he goes. Like at his home. An if their is harmony at home then there will be order in the nation. An when the nation is on order there will be peace in the world.  This quote reminds me of a song. The song is called “ Where is the love”. This song say that the world isn't at peace, so when there is no peace, then where is the love? This is just really beautiful how when we all just put our part in choosing the right, will learn to love each other in harmony will finally bring peace into the world. We can have all the peace we want but first we need to find the inner harmony in us and outside.

Zika

Zika virus disease is a disease which is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. The most common symptoms of Zika are fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes. The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting for several days to a week after being bitten by an infected mosquito.

Zika is endemic to parts of Africa and Asia, but over the past months, between 400,000 and 1.3 million cases have been discovered across South, Central, and North America, where the disease was previously unknown.

They are doing research on people who have the virus and doing the best they can to stop it.

This event is related to me because it is a very serious virus and it can effect me by getting me ill but it mostly affects pregnant mom and their babies. The babies have a smaller head when they are born

It’s better to fail with honor than win by cheating. After all, if you fail with honor- you’re still a winner.

   

These two stories are a very good example for Sophocles quote. It shows how Malik Steward, lose to state championship, but had honor with him to go and shake his opponents dads hand. He failed, but he didn't cheat, he failed with honor. As to Roman Chapa he cheated miserable, just to win. To win for money, which indeed does not show honor, he choose the wrong and should be punished. He won but by cheating. Which isn't a honorable thing. An in people's eyes he is a cheating person who can't be trusted. Just did it for the money.

What this quote is telling me that i would prefer to fail with honor than succeed by cheating. This quote is very true like it's better to have honor than to cheat. An when you lose with honor people respect that. But when you cheat to win that's not very nice. Some people work so hard to win, for someone to come and cheat them off, and win. It becomes really unfair. And that's not choosing the right. An it's better to lose to something than to cheat your way up. When someone works hard to make it to the top it shows how much passion he has. For what he is doing. But when someone cheats their way up to the top is shows how unreliable, and a sore loser you are. An when people find out that you cheated it's going to be very pain full for them as for you too. It's best just to lose with honor than to win by cheating.

       Memorial Day Weekend

What i did for memorial day weekend was that i went to the beach. What i did on saturday was technically nothing. My family just went to the park to go and relax. And on Saturday we went to church, and came back home, and toward night we decide to go walk at the Santa Monica Pier. We just when to the pier, we went to a nearby mall, window shopping. And we saw many cool and great things at Santa Monica. On memorial Day we went to the beach again. But this time we went to get in. We went to Venice Beach, where we got in the water, and we had fun there. Once we were done getting in the water, we walked on the board side. Were they selled and had amazing things. There was people performing, as well as selling refreshments, and it was just so fun. One cool thing was that we paid to enter the freak show they have there. It was really crazy. We saw the world smallest guy, as well as the world's smallest girl. The monsters performed for us, there was a girl called the rubber girl, where she twistes her arm like five times, And once it's done it goes worse, then she pops her elbow making it go the opposite way. It was really insane.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. The purpose of memorial day is that we honor men and woman who died during serving for the U.S Military. So they won't be forgotten.  Memorial Day is the last Monday of May, this year it falls on the 30th of May.

Ways to Show Honor:

1. Write a thank you note and send it overseas
2. Visit a local veterans Cemetery or a war ceremony
3. Visit and take cookies to a local Veterans Hospital
4. Go to a Memorial Day Parade, or watch the National Memorial Day Parade
5. Enjoy Freedom by enjoying time with the family
6. Fly the Flag
7. Donate to charity that helps support our Military
8. Volunteer

A few things i would do to show honor to our fallen heros is to display the american flag outside my house. I would also write a thank you note to our soldiers that are in combat. I will also give a moment of silence for our fallen soldiers.

What i understand about this quote is that when you're goals are good and correct. And you keep pursuing them, everything else is going to fall in order. An example would be to get into college. If you work hard and do your best in high school. You are most likely to get a scholarship. Which pays for all of your college. As you can see everything is falling into line. And when you do the right thing make sure to do it right. This mens that say you help[ somebody clean, you make sure it gets clean. An do the job with a positive attitude. When you do something right, but don't have a positive attitude, the job turns out to look bad, and it looks worse than when you got there. That's why is best to choose the right, and make sure it's right.

Wellness Specialist

Duties and Responsibility:

Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities.

Salary: $43,840

Education:

In order to become a wellness specialist you need a bachelor's degree in health. You will also need to get in a health program, which includes an internship. When you finish your school you can work as a health teacher or a public educator.

Demand; There is no demand but their is a job growth by 13%.

Reflection: I would not like to be a wellness specialist because i don't want to become a teacher. An i would rather work in a hospital, than a school.

What this quote means is that good values is what you will always need and it is the best thing you will ever have. Good values is what makes you a good person like being responsible and kind. If you don’t have good values then you are just a really bad person because good values is what you need right now and every single day in your life. So don’t be a ctw person and not have good values, be a ctr person and have good values and follow them until it is your last second in your life.

Veterinarian

Duties and Responsibilities =

They care for the health of animals and work to improve public health. They diagnose, treat, and research medical conditions.

Salary=

Education=

Veterinarians must complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree at an accredited college of veterinary medicine.

Demand=

Veterinarians must be compassionate when working with animals and their owners. They must treat animals with kindness and respect, and must be sensitive when dealing with the animal owners.

Reflection=

I think i would love to work as this because i love animals so working with them will be amazing.

An Internal Phenomenon

This quote is very inspiring because it shows how when you choose the right, you have this feelings. And this feelings are the self respect you have for yourself. Self respect means by not harming your body, and you respecting your  body. And example of hurting your body is cutting. The other feeling that you feel is integrity, you value how your personal beliefs, and how you stand up for what is right. Another one is self esteem. Self esteem is the way you talk about yourself. Some people have the tendency of talking about about themselves. Like “ohh i look fat in this” “oh id doesn't look good on me”. People that talk about their body like this is that they have negative thoughts. Which can lead to depression or suicide. Dignity is the same like self respect you need to love and embrace the way you look.

Sports Medicine

Duties and responsibilities:

Sports medicine physicians work with athletes and sports teams at all levels to help heal athletic injuries. These physicians are specialized in either surgical or non-surgical procedures. In order to become sports medicine physicians, candidates must complete medical school, earn a license, complete a residency and fellowship, and earn board certification in sports medicine.

Salary; $161,560

Education: In order to become a sports medicine you need to obtain a bachelor's degree. After you're done you enter Medical School, to complete the courses. This sports medicine are also know a lot about the skeletal system, which they do procedures in how to pop or put back in place a dislocated bone. You also as well are advising coaches and players about issues. You also must complete a residence where it's programs that last for three years.

Demand: There is no demand because this job is expected to grow for an 18%.

Reflection: I would like to be a sports medicine, because it involves you working in the medical field. And you also meet famous people, that play in sports. Also i wouldn't like to be one because i am not a sports fanatic.

What i understand about this quote is that you must work hard. Work hard for what you want to be in life. Don't give up when there's no hope, you just keep working, till you reach the light at the end of the tunnel. The second tip is what you want to be in life, have passion for it. Do things you want to do that you enjoy doing. Don't get a career in technology and you not like doing it. Make sure u have that passion for what you want to be when you grow up. The 3 tip is don't chase after the money. When you start your career, the money will start raining on you. The money will find its way to get to you. The last tip is serve others. And do good things for them. It's just like the money, the money will come to you. But in this case when you do something good for someone, someone else is going to do something good to you. It's just like “What goes around comes around”. When you you help a lady out, maybe your friends or family will also help you out whenever you need help. I think this statement is very true.

         World Records

The world record held was oldest gymnast who still competes. The world record that holds it is a 86 year old women by the name, Johanna Quaas from Germany. This world record was broke in Italy Rome, on 12 April 2012.

Another world that fascinates me is The most Body modifications. Most body modifications on a female is held by Maria Jose Cristerna (Mexico) who has a total of 49 body modifications, including significant tattoo coverage, a range of transdermal implants on her forehead, chest and arms, and multiple piercings in her eyebrows, lips, nose, tongue, ear lobes, belly button and nipples.

Maria Cristerna is also referred to as 'The Mexican Vampire lady.'

I am fascinated because it's pretty gross to see someone with a persing. And this woman has 49 body modifications. And she almost looks like a evil witch. It's crazy how people like to look like this. And she has like bumps on her head making her look like the devil/ Vampire. I would personally wouldn't like to break a world record.

“You knew what i was when you picked me up”

This is a story about a Indian youth which, climbed a mountain to reach the top. And in the top he became free. In a sense he was joyful. Until he heard  a rattle. This rattle was coming from a snake, and this snake asked the Indian Youth, “ I am dying up here can you help me down so i can get warm, and eat.” The Indian youth was very surprised because the snake could kill him. And the snake persuade him saying, “ i'll treat you special and i won't hurt you, please take me down to the valley.” As the Indian youth took him down, and wrap him in his shirt, he placed him down. As he said thank you and bit him. Then the snake said “ You knew what i was when you picked me up”! This is metaphorically speaking that when somebody offers you something bad and keeps telling you that there is no harm, you gotta always choose the right for you and doesn't harm you.  Other examples would be alcohol, drugs, stealing,etc etc. Also the snake represents evil trying to get you into bad things, and you have to stand your ground and say no.

What i understand about this quote is that when it comes down to making a decision is to choose the right. When you choose the right that means that you are doing what is best for you. So thats why its best the we choose the right, and when it's a hard decision you must think of the safety of the people and you. An example of a decision would be when your friend offers you drugs. You have a hard decision. You is good to do drugs? No it's not so you say no to drugs. An when you said no you were thinking about choosing the right. This is why we must remind a ctr person, so we don't make mistakes in decision, and when we decide to choose what is best for you and the right. This quote can be advise, you either choose the right decision. Or you choose the wrong which can cause problems, maybe injure you. Choose the right.

This statement is really true, like what are you going to get out of doing the wrong. You don't really get anything. The only thing you most likely to get are bad repercussions. It also depends on what you did and how severe you damaged people. But when you choose the right you gain something. You might gain there trust, or you might gaine a reward. You can also gain a good compliment. This is why i think this quote is so true because you really don't gain anything when you do something bad. So remember it best to choose the right, and get a good consequence rather than to get a bad repercussion. This statement really is powerful. And it's best to gain something good than something bad.

What i understand about this quote is that when you choose the right at the right time, in the inside you are going to feel very great. And you are going to have this feeling you never felt before. And people are going to see that you are a good person. An example would be that when an adult asks for a favor you help them out at the right moment. And at the right time. That is why after you're done you have a nice feeling, that you choose the right. You must always choose the right because you never know who is watching you. Also vice versa when you do something bad without telling anybody, there is somebody that watched you do, and choose the wrong. Thats why its always best to choose the right

Speech Pathologist

                     

Duties and responsibilities:

Speech Pathologist are known for speech language, and help individuals with speaking problems, and swallowing, and language. They can work anywhere, in schools, hospitals, clinics etc.

Speech therapy training programs involve language and speech pathology studies in a 2-3 year master's degree program. In these programs students learn relevant anatomy and physiology as well as linguistic, phonology, and communication assessment skills. After didactic coursework students complete 20-40 hours of on-site supervised clinical training. Upon graduation and certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association speech therapists can work in a variety of medical fields such as hospitals or private practices.

Demand: There are no demands on this profession, but there is a job growth, by 19%.

Reflection: I would not like to be a speech pathologist because i myself isn't good at speaking. And i would really fit this job, and i want a career in which i am moving.

What i am understanding that your word of honor is like a circle. When you give your word of honor you are placed into that circle, and say you break your word, is just like walking out that circle, and you will just die. Its also like you are placed in prison because you didn't keep your word of honor, instead you abandoned it which lead for you to get in trouble. You should be very careful how you give your word or when you give it. If you give your word and you do not complete it it's going to look very bad. It's going to show how you ain't trustworthy. And how you should be told anything, because you will open your mouth. You should also know when people take advantage of your word, you can tell because people will be asking you to do it for them. You have to have the courage to say NO.

Medical Scientist

Medical scientists help develop new medical breakthroughs that benefit humanity. This process involves a great deal of research and performing clinical trials to find out the effects of new drugs and vaccines. Many medical scientists enter into joint M.D. and Ph.D. programs, and those interacting directly with patients need a physician's license.

Salary;$90,230 per year

Education:

In order to become a medical scientist you need a bachelor's degree, as well as a masters degree. You are also going to need to go into medical school, which you get a M.D in medicine. In order to work with patients you are going to be licensed by the state.

Demand: There is no demand whats so ever but there is a growth rate by 13%.

Reflection: I would not like to be a Medical Scientist because it involves science and i would prefer to be something else besides this like a pharmacist.

What i am understanding about this commandments is that we must have respect for the earth as well as each other. You must show respect to your peers, or your classmates. Also work together as a team not just one person. When you work together it doesn't just benefit you it benefits all of  mankind. You also give out assistance and kindness wherever it's needed. Its also telling me that we must choose the right, and we have to learn what's right or what's wrong. You must also take care of yourself and your state of mind. You must dedicated the efforts that will help mankind/for the greater good. You should always be truthful and honest at all times, and when you do something bad take full responsibility for YOUR  actions. This commandments are really great it mostly the same as choosing the right. You have to be respectful, treat others with respect, as well as the earth. Its very great that this rules abide by choosing the right.
