I think what Elizabeth is trying to tell us is that
Obedience is the major purpose of sound education. For example, if you are
obedient during school you will get you good grades and everyone wants good
grades. But if you choose the wrong you won’t be obedient and you won’t have
good grades. So that’s why being obedient is part of choosing the right, because
every time you choose the right you will feel happy.
