Duties and Responsibilities:

The Health Educator, under the direction of the Clinical Programs Director, is responsible for overall health communication activity, and teaching people about behaviors that promote wellness at a Community Clinic, Inc. (CCI). The Health Educator is also responsible for the learning experiences that provide individuals served by CCI the opportunity to make appropriate health decisions. The health educator will use appropriate strategies, and methods to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention. The health educator musthave thorough understanding of the diverse populations served by CCI, and follow the Health

Education Code of Ethics

Salary:

41,830 USD annually

Education:

Health educators need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Requirements for community health workers vary, although they typically have at least a high school diploma and must complete a brief period of on-the-job training. Some states have certification programs for community health workers

 

Reflection:

To me I would like to have this job because I would want learn more about health and teach others about it as well, so this job would suit me.
